June Again
copyright 2011 by Tim Griffin

Well the nights are getting shorter and the days are getting long
Just finished my spring quarter, another year of school is gone
I turned in my final paper and I took my final test
Life is pleasin’, here’s the reason, ‘tis the season I love best
I get get nine long months of school and then
It’s June again

Gonna sit down with my TV, turn my favorite channel on
Come on Cartoon Network free me, Power Rangers, Pokemon
Time to clear my head of the mess my teacher made
The mass profusion of confusion that I’ve been since first grade
I get get nine long months of school and then
It’s June again

(bridge) I get nine long months of school with only three months in between
The only thing that I’ll be reading is my X-Box magazine
Lose my factors and my fractions, all my differences and sums
Got to empty out my cranium by the time September comes

Don’t ever say September, it’s a million miles away
I’m gonna try not to remember, gonna live just for today
I want right now to last forever, though I know it never will
I got no interest whatsoever in counting down the days until
I get nine long months of school and then
It’s June again
