Schedule permitting, Tim would love to come do a live show for you. He has performed to great hilarity and edification for the National Science Teachers’ Association, the California Science Teachers’ Association, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Mensa, and hundreds of schools, libraries, museums, book fairs, scout troops, science fiction conventions, filk gatherings, and other places where learning and fun collide. As with all of GriffinEd’s services, shows are free for educational events and institutions; tax-deductible donations to GriffinEd are always welcome but never required.
Tim’s educational shows are geared toward the age of the audience, and we have songs and stories suitable for kindergarten right up to eighth grade. If you have a particular theme you’d like to address, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.
How to Book a Show
As with the writing workshops, this depends on where you are. If you are in Los Angeles county or any adjacent county, just contact Tim and we’ll set it up!
If you are farther away, it gets more complex but we can still make it happen. Although our services are free for educational gatherings (and we define that pretty broadly), it would help if you could raise enough money to cover Tim’s travel expenses. You might want to coordinate with other schools, libraries, etc. in your area or see if a local PTA chapter, chamber of commerce, or other civic group wants to help out. If you really can’t raise the money to bring Tim to you, let us know where you are and we’ll contact you when and if Tim’s travels bring him your way!
